Chana dal khichdi By Micky

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup rice
  • 1 cup chana dal
  • 1 tablespoon zeera,
  • 1 green chillly chopped
  • 1 big cardamom
  • 4 cups water
  • A pinch of hing
  • 1 tablespoon red chilly powder
  • 1 tablespoon Ciba garam masala
  • 2 tablespoon ghee

Instructions:

  1. Soak chana dal for about 3-4 hours.
  2. Soak rice for about 20-25 minutes.
  3. In pressure cooker, add ghee.
  4. Add cloves, zeera and saute it for 2 minutes.
  5. Add soaked dal, rice.
  6. Add 4 cups of water.
  7. Cover the cooker and cook it for 1-2 whistles.
  8. In another pan, put ghee.
  9. When ghee melts, add hing, red chilly powder, Ciba garam masala, salt, and green chillies
  10. Pour this tadka in cooker.
  11. Mix well and serve khichdhi with melted ghee on top.
