Masala Pulao With Tomato Curry By Meenarkshi Kapu


  • 4 tablespoon oil
  • 1 cup rice
  • 1 tablespoon zeera
  • 1/2 inch ginger finely chopped
  • 5-6 pieces of garlic finely chopped
  • 4-5 green chilies finely chopped
  • salt to taste
  • 1 tablespoon Ciba red chilly powder
  • 1 tablespoon Ciba Paneer masala
  • 2 cup water

Tomato curry ingredients

  • 4-5 tomatoes
  • Water 1/4 cup
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 1 tablespoon Ciba red chilly powder
  • Salt as per taste


  1. Soak rice for about 25 minutes.
  2. In kadai, add oil and then add zeera
  3. When zeera splutters then add finely chopped ginger-garlic and let them brown and then stir them well.
  4. Add green chillies, 2 cup water, salt, red chilly powder.
  5. Bring to a boil and add rice and mix it well.
  6. Let them cook on simmer for about 10-15 minutes.
  7. Add Ciba Paneer masala and mix it well.
  8. Cover it and cook it for other 5 minutes and Masala Pulao is ready to serve.
  9. For tomato curry, peel and grind tomatoes to a paste.
  10. In kadai, add oil, Ciba red chilly powder and pour in tomato paste.
  11. Add water and salt and let it cook for 10-15 minutes.
  12. when it starts to leave oil, then its done.

Serve hot Masala Pulao with spicy tomato curry.
